BIBLE PROJECT
The Bearing Precious Seed Bible Project was a huge success. Ninety-six boxes of John & Romans scriptures are on their way to a shipping container to be sent to Tanzania, Africa. Students and staff worked very hard over the two days and a special dedication chapel on Wednesday capped off the project. ABC12 featured the project on their "Good Kids" segment that was aired last Friday, May 9^th, during their evening news. You may access the video on the ABC12 website at "ABC12 Good Kids". A special thank you to all of the families that contributed to the Bible project this year.

REGISTRATION FEE REMINDER – due June 16
Please remember to pay the registration fees by June 16 or a $50 late fee will be charged. Registration fees are $135 for 1^st-12^th & $65 for K4 & K5.

OPEN HOUSE
If you have been talking to a new family that is interested in GCS, tell them to come check out the school on May 14^th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. during our annual open house. Both the elementary and high school will be open to visitors for a tour and opportunity to see a regular day at GCS. There is no need to sign up. GCS families can earn up to $300 in tuition incentives for next year for each new family that registers for the 2008-09 school year. Keep passing on the good news about GCS!

PICTURES WANTED
Mrs. Adkins has offered to make a DVD for our Awards Assembly on June 6^th. If you have pictures of activities that our students were involved in during the year, please e-mail them to tammy125@msn.com.

THANKS
Thank you for collecting the Box Tops. We received $835.32 today from the company. Continue all summer to save them for fall.

BIBLE PROJECT NEWS
On Monday, we will be doing a special assembly showing a video of BJ & Cathy Schultz, graduates of GCS who are working in Tanzania. The Bible Project is complete & the copies of John & Romans will be sent to them. Thank you to every family who turned in the coin folders for this project. We were able to make 30,000 copies to send. A special thank you to Mrs. Saunders’ class for collecting $392.78. They tell us that for every copy of John & Romans sent at least 7 people will read it.

GENESEE DRIVING SCHOOL
Segment 1 Driver Ed will begin July 7 & Segment 2 will begin July 14. For details or questions, contact Mr. Lunney at Genesee Driving School at 810-564-0808.

MACKINAC TRIP
All balances were to have been paid by May 1, 2008. If you are unsure of your balance, please contact Mr. Wright. Trip information will be coming out in the next few weeks.

SENIOR NEWS
This is the last week of classes for seniors at GCS! The commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2008 will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Richfield Road on Saturday, May 31^st at 6:00 p.m. The Senior Awards night will be held on Tuesday, May 27^th at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria

Many of the seniors will be attending the senior trip this next week. Please pray for safety on the trip and for our graduating seniors as they pursue further education and seek God’s will for their lives.

Cost is $5 per person – everyone pays - no sports passes allowed.
